New HD Channels In 2008 - DISH Network is committed to increasing their HD national channel lineup this year. On April 16, 2008, CNN HD launched and on April 18, 2008, both USA HD and SCI FI HD launched on DISH Network!
- CNN HD - Launched on April 16, 2008 - As the world's leading 24-hour global news and information television network, CNN is now available in stunning high definition! CNN HD provides its U.S. audience in-depth, live coverage and analysis of breaking news events. CNN HD also offers a full range of programs covering the latest in business, weather, sports, entertainment, health and science news, as well as topical, in-depth interviews. Top shows include "Lou Dobbs Tonight," "Anderson Cooper 360," as well as "Planet in Peril," a sweeping four-hour documentary featuring Anderson Cooper, Dr. Sanjay Gupta and Animal Planet's Jeff Corwin.
- USA HD - Launched April 18, 2008 - USA HD offers a popular blend of original series, USA Pictures Original Movies, exclusive suspense and dramatic series, box office hits, high-profile sports and animated children's programming in high definition. Top shows include "Monk," "Psych," "In Plain Sight" and "RAW".
- SCI FI HD - Launched April 18, 2008 - SCI FI HD Channel is a television network where "what if" is what's on. SCI FI HD fuels the imagination of viewers with original series and events, blockbuster movies and classic science fiction and fantasy programming in high definition. Top Shows include "Ghost Hunters," "Battlestar Galactica" and "Eureka".

17 New HD National Channels are planned to launch August 1, 2008! Surpassing their goal and reaching 100 national HD channels five months ahead of schedule, DISH Network plans to launch the following channels, along with 14 new HD "Video on Demand" channels, by August 1, 2008:
