What are my account disconnection options?

DISH Network understand that situations arise which force their customers to disconnect their services. DISH Network can disconnect your account up to 30 days in advance or effective immediately. Please call 1-800-333-3474 at your convenience. They provide customers with the following two options:

Seasonal/Vacation Disconnection:

A seasonal disconnection will remove all services while keeping the account active. A $5.00 monthly access fee is charged to the account and a $5.00 initiation fee. This method of disconnection is recommended for customers who are planning to reactivate within a 5 month period. However, please note that this offer is not available to customers who are participating in a promotion which requires a programming commitment.

Voluntary Disconnection:

This will remove all services and deactivate the account completely. A voluntary disconnection requires a $25.00 restart fee to reactivate the account in the future. This method of disconnection is recommended for customers who do not plan to restart their services within a 5 month period. However, please note that this offer is not available for customers who are currently participating in a promotion which requires a programming commitment without being charged a cancellation fee. If you are in a programming commitment, the cancellation fee may vary depending on the promotion you are in. If you are leasing your equipment, arrangements will be made at the time of disconnection for the return of the equipment.
For security reasons, DISH Network cannot disconnect accounts via email. Please call 1-800-333-3474 to disconnect and a representative will go over any disconnection issues and final disclosures.
